CPC National Council
|Here's what people say about Simon Chapelle:|
I have known Simon Chapelle for over 10 years, having met him during the first two terms he served on National Council, starting in 2008.
While President for Carleton EDA, I had opportunity to see Simon in action. He was the only councillor who reached out to the EDAs in Eastern Ontario, attending our Presidents' meetings, informing us about what was going on and actually asking our opinion on issues arising in the party.
As an example: when National needed more money and was considering keeping all of the membership funds instead of sharing half with the EDAs, he reached out to us for our reaction/opinion. We suggested to just raise the years-old membership fee of $10 to $15 and keep the extra $5 itself. Nothing would change for the EDAs and National would have the extra funds it needed so everyone would be happy. He was successful in having National Council implement it.
Simon understands EDA needs/struggles, realizes they need to be kept in the loop and, collectively, can offer really top advice. So he makes it a policy to keep in contact.
I strongly urge you to vote for Simon. He will again be an ethical and hard-working representative for us all.

I have known Simon for a number of years and he is a conscientious, knowledgeable and hard working member of our party.
When he previously served as a member of National Council he was very approachable and willing to listen to any difficulties or challenges the EDAs were facing and Simon would be willing to represent the EDAs' point-of-view and publicly promote or argue for the interests of the riding associations.
